Mark Waters Speed Sporting

Endorsement From The University Of Nottingham

‘Being physically active is an essential element of staying healthy. This scheme will provide great new opportunities for children to become involved in sport and to become more active. I fully support the aims of the Speed Sporting programme.

Simon Langley-Evans
Professor of Human Nutrition
University of Nottingham

Mark Waters Speed Sporting was launched on the 14 November 2008 at Sutton Bonington Sports Centre, University of Nottingham. Speed Sporting introduces children to a range of sports in a short period of time.

All instructors are qualified, CRB checked and are picked for their rapport with children. The sports offered at a Speed Sporting event link to local community clubs. The aim of Speed Sporting is to educate children to the diversity of sports they can play and encourage them to find an activity they enjoy and can make their own – and in the process hopefully discover future World Champions.
